A weak high will build into the area from the west this afternoon into Friday, and a weak cold front will approach the area by Saturday.

Expect drier air to filter in from the west today. Expect only a small chance for showers today and Friday.

A large area of high pressure will center over the East Coast early next week. This will bring drier air and sunny skies for Labor Day through Wednesday. It should also help to steer Gustav away from Georgia and South Carolina.
